What a timing!!!

I was Free motion quilting along when I remembered that my Janome's guaranty was about to elapse. So I had to bring "Josephine" to the sewing machine Dr. What a time to be without my baby. Here is where I was when I had to stop.

For the ballerina I still have to do the geometric triangles and tackle the border, make a 3D tulle tutu and add blings in her hair. She is going to be fabulous :)

And that is pretty much it for the Canada Quilt show!!!!

In other news I found an awesome background for my summer Goddess designed by Melissa Marie Collins. Usually I do not buy such expensive fabric but It had to come home with me.

If I knew how to sew I would make a summer dress with that fabric :)

and Finally "fractured Image" Kitty is missing front paws for the moment. I think he might need a little mouse friend :)

  1. Hi Yanicka,
Wow - so close to being finished quilting and then to have to stop. Ugg. That second picture is just stunning - I'm not sure if that is the summer goddess, but WOWEE. It is beautiful. ~smile~

  4. How frustrating to have to stop your work while your machine is in the shop, but you're right, that quilt is going to be a beauty! The goddess is very pretty, and I'm enjoying the progress on the cat too. So many nice projects!

  5. I hate when I have to stop and send my machine to the doctor, even if for a good reason. Love these quilts and the cat is coming along nicely.

  7. I had to laugh when you said if you knew how to sew, you would make a dress out of that fabric! I don't sew clothes either, although that is how I learned to sew when I was a kid. Your projects are stunning! I hope your Janome is soon back from the spa and quilting right along again!
