Christmas in july Blog Hop!!!! My turn






It's my turn!!!!

For this blog hop, I had the hardest time finding my inspiration......because I am not that fond of Christmas....well ok I am not that fond of malls and the billion people trying to find the perfect gift....what I do like is fun gifts and fun traditions. It made me think of the ugly Christmas sweaters :) Since I do not knit (funny story....I got myself the book knitting for dummies........still could not do it) I found this great knitting patters and used it to design a quilt





All done with 1 1/2 inch squares........1225 of them to be precise. I used this method Interfacing grid technique so that everything line up nicely and goes faster. It finish 52.5" square and thank to  the interfacing, it  is very heavy and warm.

    Lovely quilt and my favorite color! I've used the grid interfacing technique to make a bag before. You are the 2nd person I've seen use it for a quilt. I'm going to have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing.

    It's so beautiful! I can't knit either. I'd love to learn, but I keep putting it off because I already have so many things I want to make that I can't imagine trying to find time for a whole new hobby! This would be a great way to 'knit'!

    This was a great way to adapt a pattern...I've often seen cross stitch ideas that I could turn into quilts, but I've never done one. More inspiration...
