The dancer lived in my head for about 6 months before I was able to put her on fabric. At first she was just a silhouette in movement. The 3D tutu was also an issue because I was not sure how to make it. Many different attempt were made to finally make it happen. I am thinking of adding ribbons to it but for now it stay as it is.
The quilting was fun and a bit frustrating....i don't think I have one single circle that is round on my pearl strings :) but that is ok.
Edited....she is done :)
Edited....she is done :)
Wow! She's beautiful. I love how you textured the dancer silhouette with your quilting. (At first, I thought you used a textured fabric.) And the decoration around her bun shows great attention to details.
Reply DeleteRound or not, I find that your quilting is perfectly toned to the movements of your quilt, swirling and lightly stepping across the stage.
Thank you for showing your quilt in my second Fabric, Thread and Yarn link party!
That is the nicest thing said to me. Thank you very much
