Rip and Stitch

I love , LOVE trying new techniques. I get all excited and can't help but dream of the possibilities. Sometime it result in an epic fail I have to admit....but I always learn something. My last technique was what I call "Rip and Stitch". It consist oF ripping 1/2" strips and stitch them on a background fabric. On this one I just did rows, but I might try to make swirls or circles using thistechnique . It might produce some very interesting results. I t gives an impression of brush stroke in my mind....so it could make very interesting backgrounds.

    Very interesting! so it looks like you covered the whole background with a tulle or mesh?? We need people like you with your creative spirit!, Nice!

      Yes I used tull because that is what I had at home but I am thinking of using sheer fabric too. Thank you very much.

    Did the threads of the ripped edges not get caught up in you machine? How will it wash if it needs washing? I LOVE the unique technique you used BTW.

      I forgot to add that there is a layer of tulle on top. I just sew parallel lines all over to keep it in place. Did not try to wash it. I should try it and report back :)
